Abstract:
In the conditions of the modern information society, the organization of the educational process in higher educational institutions has been fundamentally transformed. The main goal is the formation of a creative personality, the acquisition by students of the skills and abilities of self-education, self-development, innovation, general and professional competencies. One of the most important reserves for increasing the efficiency of higher education is the optimization of students' independent work. Independent work of students is aimed at achieving the learning outcomes planned by the educational program. Such work forms the ability for independence in educational, scientific and professional fields, for mastering the experience of creative, research, socially significant activities. The article examines the main forms of organizing classroom and extracurricular independent work of junior students of natural science and technical specialties in the preparation of a bachelor's degree. First-year students from the very beginning of their studies in the study of fundamental natural sciences should receive not only basic knowledge, but also master the skills and abilities of independent classroom and extracurricular work. The capabilities of modern information technologies make distance learning especially important in improving the independent work of students. The organization of independent work of students in the conditions of mixed traditional and distance learning makes rather high demands on the qualifications of a teacher when using information technologies. Methods of organizing students' activities are analyzed to improve the effectiveness of professional training of future specialists.
