The article examines the peculiarities of organizing physical education classes in higher education institutions under conditions of distance learning and martial law. The aim of the study was to determine gender differences in the attitudes of higher education students toward the credit module “Football.” To achieve this aim, theoretical, empirical, and statistical research methods were employed, including questionnaires, pedagogical observation, and analysis of the obtained data. The study involved 80 second-year students, including 40 males and 40 females. The results revealed the presence of stable gender differences in motivation, perception of football, and self-assessment of motor competence. It was found that male students are more oriented toward competition and results, whereas female students place greater emphasis on the emotional component and social interaction. The necessity of taking gender characteristics into account in the teaching of the “Football” module is substantiated in order to increase the effectiveness of physical education in higher education institutions.
