Abstract:
Purpose: consideration of the latest, most modern approaches, techniques, technologies aimed at further development of creative abilities of higher education students in practical classes in a foreign (English) language. A foreign (English) language is an effective means of communication in the article. Particular attention is paid to the development of four competences (linguistic, speech, socio-cultural and general or strategic) and emphasizes the importance of epistemological and acmeological components.
Methods: active teaching methods are covered, including: “I know what I’m studying”, “Dramatization” (composing monologues, dialogues, trialogues, polylogues), “Think in pairs and share”, “Traffic light”, “Aquarium”, “Reading circ-les”, “Onion Diagram”, “Iceberg”, “Well”, as well as technologies such as “Brainstorming”, “Rules of seven reactions”.
Results: the article testifies to the importance of using the mentioned pedagogical techniques, methods, techniques, technologies, the need to introduce into the educational process such creative tasks for higher education as portfolio development, group work, writing notes, monologues, dialogues, trilogues, polylogues, discussions, presentations. The undoubted advantages of their use fully meet the requirements of the higher education curriculum. The practical orientation of the above-mentioned work, its connection with life is seen.
This guarantees opportunities to provide a differentiated approach to learning, the content of pedagogical activity corresponds to the age characteristics of higher education. Motivation of educational activity of applicants for higher education, the development of interest in the subject by the means proposed in the joint work in the coordinates of the teacher – applicant for higher education; indicate the presence of problem-solving tasks. The didactic expediency of the system of tasks provides an opportunity for young people to carry out independent learning activities, the logic of placement and use of illustrative material as an independent or additional source of information are significant bonuses in work. The advantage of pedagogical activity is in its integrity, compactness and dynamics. Based on carefully designed material, each high school lecturer can develop their own meta-plan and predict meta-activities. This type of teacher’s activity will be very useful for him/her personally and for students of higher education.
Conclusions: the mentioned article emphasizes the further implementation of active pedagogical methods for the forming of communicative competence. Thanks to them there is an ability to form a worldview on the development of human existence, society and nature, spiritual culture, social phenomena in development and specific historical conditions, the ability to learn and to master modern knowledge, to develop abstract thinking, to analyze and to synthesize, to communicate in foreign (English) language. While studying, young people must know and apply knowledge of state and foreign (English) language for the forming of business papers and communication in professional activities, be able to work independently and in a team, show leadership and responsibility in work, adhere to ethical principles, respect individual and cultural diversity, perform professional functions taking into account the requirements of social responsibility, labour discipline, be able to plan and manage time.
