Substantiation of methods of strength calculation in longitudinal transverse bending

Abstract

The article presents the calculation of bent beams for the permissible load. It is substantiated that a small increase in the load is sufficient for the stresses to reach the yield point, which practically corresponds to the destruction of the beam. This means that the calculation of compressed-bent beams should be carried out not according to the permissible stresses, but according to the permissible load. In this case, the calculated stresses will be significantly less than the permissible stresses.
