Abstract:
The Youth Olympic Games are unique competitions of the highest international standards, aimed at supporting and promoting Olympic ideas, offering new approaches to implementing educational programs to study Olympic values.
The Youth Olympic Games are a generator of new ideas, where a number of innovations are tested, which are then implemented at the Olympic Games.
The work statistically proves that the Youth Olympic Games are a good starting point for successful performances of young athletes in the Olympic arenas in the future. It is shown that gender equality is an integral part of the Olympic movement, which is successfully implemented in the practice of Olympic competitions at all levels under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee.
Statistical analysis showed that the largest number of awards in the summer YOGs were won by the youth teams of China, however, a group of countries is noted that are favorites: Japan, Ukraine, Italy, France, North Korea, etc. Among the winter YOGs, the favorite in terms of the number of medals is Germany. The Ukrainian youth national team is one of the leaders only in summer
sports.
