The purpose of the article was to substantiate the feasibility of using anti-erosion biomats of different structure from flaxseed oil in road construction in southern Ukraine and to determine the cost of one square meter of roads with the use of such materials.
The possibility of quality improving of the road surface and state improving of the environment by using as a reinforcing layer of geomaterials made exclusively from products of processing of flaxseed oil are analyzed. The domestic normative base, which defines the basic requirements for the technique of asphalt covering application, is analyzed. The cost of materials of classical laying road surfaces technology with a new method is compared. It was concluded that this indicator is increased by 36.7% in the case of the use of synthetic geomaterials and by 12.19% when using natural geomaterials from flaxseed oil.The social survey of young people in Kherson showed the necessity and significance of the use of such an environmental product to improve the condition of roads in the city. It is concluded that the use of environmental material as an alternative to synthetic components is a realistic prospect that needs to be implemented in the near future.
Prospects for further research are related to the accumulation of statistical material about quantitative indicators of the proposed biomats impact on the environment in the full life cycle of the product: from manufacturing to disposal (self-expansion), the impact on the lengthening of the life of sloping road constructions, on the quality indicators of sloping protection from blurring and so on.
