dc.description.abstract The success of agriculture in the southern regions of Ukraine always depends on weather and climatic factors. Among the factors that affect crop yield, the most important is ensuring sufficient water supply for plants. This dependence has increased in recent decades due to changes in climate conditions in Ukraine and around the world. Therefore, it is necessary to improve existing techniques for growing field crops and develop new measures to ensure stability in the industry and reduce its dependence on weather factors. This allows for a stable level of productivity throughout the year, regardless of significant fluctuations in temperature, precipitation, and other weather factors. Solving this problem is also related to the current military situation in Ukraine, which has led to a partial reduction in the area of agricultural production. As a result, adjustments have been made to the formulation of measures to compensate for reduced irrigation areas. For cultivation, it is necessary to select not only more drought-resistant crops but also their varieties or hybrids with high productivity levels. Despite the current situation and some weakening of the economic capacity of agricultural enterprises, it is still necessary to obtain the planned volume of crop production. This will depend not only on the state of the agricultural sector but also on the stability of Ukraine as a whole. ru
