dc.description.abstract The article examines the economic principles of overcoming socio-economic inequality as a key priority for sustainable development of society. It is shown that inequality affects not only the level of income of the population, but also access to education, health care, employment and resources, forming long-term barriers to economic growth and social stability. The need to transition from compensatory approaches to preventive strategies aimed at forming an inclusive economic model that combines the development of human capital, effective institutional mechanisms, a fair tax system and strengthening social protection is substantiated. The importance of regional development, openness of economic policy, international cooperation and technological transformations of the labor market in the formation of a more balanced socio-economic structure is emphasized ru
