Abstract:
The scientific article has updated attention on the significant influence of women’s participation in politics and public administration on the development of democracy, the effectiveness of management and quality of life of citizens. The results of the annual studies of the gender gap index, which highlight the dynamics of Ukraine in the fields of career opportunities, economic participation, health, education, education and political rights, are analyzed. The concept of «gender mainstreaming» as a strategy for achieving gender equality by integrating a gender approach into the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of politicians and projects at all levels of the state is described. Among the main aspects of gender maintenance, its integration into all areas of state policy and at all levels of decision-making is the mandatory preliminary assessment of the potential impact of any action on women and men, as well as taking into account the specific needs of each of the articles. On the basis of the analysis, it is generally general that gender maintenance in public administration is an integrated and continuous process of rethinking, planning, implementing and evaluating all public policies from the standpoint of their differentiated impact on women and men, with the ultimate purpose of eliminating gender inequality and equal opportunities.It is analyzed that martial law and post -war restoration in Ukraine require a special approach to gender maintenance in public administration.In the war period, key areas were identified, which include the development of protocols of responding to gender -conditioned violence, ensuring equal access to vital services, equal conditions for women in the Armed Forces, a gender analysis of the impact of war on the population, and the fight against stereotypes. In the post-war period, the key areas identified the integration of gender perspective into all restoration plans, gender-sensitive budgeting, ensuring economic recovery with gender equality, reintegration of women veterans, stimulating women’s participation in elective bodies and developing their leadership
