Abstract

Civil society is a cornerstone of democracy, contributing to transparency, accountability, and public participation. The development of civil society varies across nations depending on historical, political, and socio-economic contexts. Ukraine’s civil society has undergone significant transformation since independence in 1991, especially after the Orange Revolution and the Euromaidan events. This paper explores the Ukrainian experience in comparison with countries like Poland, Germany, and the United States.
